Gary Update

I forgot to tell you that at the dinner the other night we talked about Gary wanting to take summer school. I said sympathetically, "Are you behind on credits?"

"No. I'm fine. But my birthday is in the fall and I can graduate before I turn 18 if I take some extra classes."

"You can stay in the program until you are done with high school, you know."

He says he knows and looks a bit uncomfortable.

"Both Carl and Evan stayed with us until their 19th birthdays. I would want you to stay and finish."

He grinned, "Cool. Then I can just relax and enjoy my last summer before I have to get a job!"

We are picking him up tomorrow morning. We have to go get him. They are willing to drive him to us, but before they can do that we have to go there and fill out paper work, and the first time we can do that when the right person is there is Saturday morning. We will bring him back Sunday evening.

I will try to schedule as much time with us as possible over the next few weeks, but it will be complicated. Evan is moving back in on Monday or Tuesday and will be staying until he can get his own place (tentatively July 1). Carl is coming in two weeks for Andrew's graduation. The house will be a busy place.

Gary will almost certainly be moving in early June. I told Jo the other day it is as certain as Obama's nomination. There are things that could prevent it, but they are all highly unlikely.
