Jobless again

Evan lost another job. Though it is always possible that the situation is more complicated than he tells me, it seems pretty obvious that the major thing that was going involved unethical behavior on the part of the manager. Evan could probably make some waves and get his job back, or possible get the manager into trouble, but he doesn't seem to be interested in doing that. He just isn't all that interested in fighting over a job flipping burgers.

But of course that means that he has nothing to do all day while I am at work.

He turned in a resume at a very small computer fix-it place which I predict is not likely to survive (other such businesses in this small town have tried and failed). Even if they make it, they are unlikely to hire anyone. But having turned in an application at a place he would like to work he feels justified in not applying anywhere else.

Which means that he has nothing to do all day while I am at work.

Have I mentioned that he has only 14 more nights of school before he is finished with high school?

That means that, if he doesn't get a job, in three weeks he will have nothing to do. Period.

Of course he is a creative lad, capable of coming up fun projects to keep himself busy.

I think sometimes that I sound more angry or frustrated than I am. Picture me not so much anxious as rueful. You know, shaking my head and rolling my eyes.
