Refering sites

Does anyone know anything about

altdotlife.com?

Acutally, I know a bunch of you must, because you are coming here from there. It seems though that you have to register to read much of anything, so I cannot find out what is sending y'all here. I'm pleased to have you, but can someone tell me what, if anything, they are saying about me at that site?

And speaking of people being sent here...One little mention by Trey at Daddy, Papa and Me has resulted in over 100 new visitors...in about a week. Thanks Trey.

  1. I'm visiting from altdotife.com. It's a site, mostly for women, and we have many threads on a variety of topics. Some of the topics include parenting, pregnancy, fertility, adoption, fostering, travel, work, life - you name it, we talk about it. One of our members posted a link to your blog on the site and I've been reading - I'm so, so impressed by you, your family and your blog. Best wishes from a reader out in the world :)

  3. Beth, I'm from Altdotlife.com - I started a thread on fostering, under the adoption thread. We're an adoptive family that has just completed foster training. I started a thread to see if anyone else had any experiences, and then have gone on to share our journey. It's sparked a lot of interest, which I'm so happy to see. I was especially touched when they decided to change the section header from Adoption to Adoption and Fostering.Another poster went out looking for blogs to get others experiences, and has linked yours, Other Peoples Kids, and the gals at Navigating The Maze. I'm learning a lot from all of you. So thank you so much for sharing your experiences!! And don't worry, we're not talking about you...just visiting! :-D

  4. Thanks Rebecca & Hope!

I re-read my post and it does sound, if not paranoid, than at least insecure. Reminds me of junior high "Are those girls talking about me? What are they saying?"

Not quite what I meant to ask, but then I don't know quite what I meant to ask.

When I see a lot of people coming from one site I usually check it out and then feel all warm and fuzzy that someone has mentioned me. I couldn't do that with altdotlife without signing up though. So thanks again for letting telling me about it.

Granny -- let me know what you think of the site.
