Morning Report (update)

Broke favorite tea mug.

Spilled tea on self, chair, and floor.

Spent 40 minutes in office wearing regalia with pants draped over heater in front of fan.

Am now off to teach wearing damp pants.

---
And when I got back to my office I caught my shirt on the little triangular things that stick out of the side of the door and pop into the hole in the frame when you shut it (the door) and it (my shirt) ripped.

Definitely a wardrobe malfunction sort of day.

I have one more class to teach and then I am going home to put on clothes that are neither ripped nor tea-stained.

  1. Sounds a little like my morning today only I didn't break a tea mug - it was a glass with orange juice in it. Hope the rest of the day is going better.

  2. tell me, as you sat in your regalia, did you also have on the hat? you know one is never totally dressed without a hat! a friend in the counseling department here refers to it as her costume! sorry you had such a bad morning, but aren't you glad you had regalia conplete with costume jewelry and a hat if needed?

  3. I'm sorry, but I have to tell you that my first reaction was that I burst out laughing when I read about your plight. When I imagined you wearing your regalia, well, I just couldn't hold it in. Bwahahaha!

After I got done laughing, then I felt sorry for you.

I hope the rest of your day goes better.

  4. While reading your post, I spilled hot chocolate on myself in telekinetic empathy for your plight.

Hope the rest of your day is less eventful, and less hard on your clothing.

  5. Have you given any thought to body armor?

  6. Oh, the thought of you sitting there in your regalia ...too much! I was once in my office putting on a new pair of stocking as mine had a run in them - and a student just opened the door and came right in without knocking...and there I was. Needless to say, I never forgot to lock my door again. I never thought about the regalia behind the door though...
