I may have made a mistake
According to the web site, the oat bran muffins were supposed to look like this:
Mine however came out looking like this:
They taste okay. Pretty crumbly, but maybe they are supposed to be?

Well it doesn't matter so long as they taste good. I've noticed that food rarely looks as soon as the photo in the recipe book.

ReplyDeleteyou know what's kind of cool to me, yondalla? it's seeing your stove + countertop. reminds me of those posts i vaguley remember reading, about houserules about dishes, .. or one of your boys cooking and leaving the kitchen a mess [unless i'm confusing you with some other blogger on this one..?], or even your talking about gary and getting more comfortable eating at the dinner table.

Sounds like some of my old posts. I've stopped complaining as much about the mess, but it's still there. Gary is as messy as the rest of them ... although he would deny it.

:-) i'd love to see bits of your house, if you'd share! do you got a couch? [my housemates and me just saved a beautiful deep orange couch from being garbage'd by one of the nearby townhouses. it's become my favourite spot in our house since, and so i guess i've taken a liking to couches now!]

i remember when i used to bake cookies, they'd also end up all browned like that, not like in the cookbook's photograph.. .
