    Hello! Suz directed me to your site!
    I am a senior at the art institute of philadelphia, about to graduate (at the end of the month!!) with a BS in photography (as I think she may have already mentioned).

    Your concerns are certainly appreciated, however, each individual branch of the Art Institutes vary greatly. AIPH(Philly branch) DOES offer housing - there are dorms only a 5 minute walk from the main buildings. They also offer assistance should you prefer to live "off campus".

    If your concern is with their accreditation, then again, you will have to inquire to the specific school. The Art Institute degress ARE recognized by so called "standard" universities and while not all classes are transferrable, many ARE. I am pursuing an MA and have not run into any trouble with degree acceptance.
