Visit from the social worker

I came home today about an hour before the boys should be here and Gary was in the living room. I asked him if he was okay. He said that he was feeling better but that he had had a migraine. This morning it hurt so bad he couldn't move.

I've known him long enough not to be deceived by that relaxed, "just reporting the news tone" as he said it. I got the phone and called the physician. He has an appointment for tomorrow morning. And let us all be happy that the private agency will pay for whatever medication the doctor prescribes.

Anyway, he was feeling better so we watched some stuff on the DVR. It was nice. Just sitting there, watching TV, pausing it to talk about MMA stuff (translation: listen while he talked), or to explain the TV show something to him ("No, Cole isn't Balthazar or the source or human, really anymore. He's just full of demon powers and going insane." Yes, I have sunk this low in my need for girl power. Blame Joss Wedon.) And while we were thus quietly engaged my cell phone beeped. It was a text from the social worker.

"I'm running late, but I should be there in about 45 minutes. Sorry."

Oh. Um. I guess the social worker is coming over.

So she came over.

And nothing happened.

Lordy, blogging when everything is going well is REALLY BORING.

Roland is taking Gary to the physician tomorrow.

  1. Feel for him if he gets migraines...my husband gets them and we pretty much go on shutdown mode.

  2. I HATE migraines. I used to get them all the time. Now I hardly ever get them. They are awful though. And I don't think you are boring. It is nice to see things going well.

  3. Oh Gary has my sympathies; I have had migraines since I was a teen. Ugh! BTW I thought Cole WAS Balthazar! ROFL I didn't actually watch the show; my wife loved it and I would catch bits of it . . .

  4. Lee,

    The stages of Cole:
    1. Cole was Balthazar for over a year.
    2. The Balthazar half was vanquished and he was just human for about 2 months.
    3. Cole-the-human took in the Hallow so that he could absorb the Source's power so the sisters could vanquish the Source. The Source-power stayed in him and gradual took over unbeknownst to the sisters.
4.Paige figures it all out and they vanquish Cole-the-Source, which appears to vanquish Cole entirely. BUT Cole's human soul survivies in the wasteland, where all bad demons go when they die. There he is able to absorb demon powers until he can come back, but he is so full of evil demon powers that he is very, very bad and eventually goes crazy.
    5. He is finally vanquished, becomes a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills I believe, and later makes a couple of ghostly appearances.

  5. Poor Gary, I have had one migraine in my whole life and I would prefer to keep it that way. Cole Balthazar? What the heck are you talking about??? I am completely clueless. Book? Game? TV show? WOW?
