Did you know..
...that if you have mild asthma and get sick, that your inhaler can help? Jo did. She told me so.
Did you also know that if you start using your inhaler several times a day to treat your cough your doctor will want to see you? Yeah. Jo did.
Did you further know that one of the first likely treatments will be a short course in steroids on the label for which it will read, "This medicine may lower your ability to fight off infections. Avoid contact with people who have contagious diseases."
Okay...so I will avoid contact with myself for the duration, I guess.
Oh...and yesterday there was this committee meeting that I needed to go to. I asked if there was a better time, but the secretary arranging it said no, everyone could get there but me. So two weeks ago I asked Roland to make special arrangements to leave his class early and do car pool so that I could go. THEN Jo made me go to the doctor so I had to skip the meeting, but I talked to one of my colleagues and he agreed to go, although he would have to ask my other colleague to proctor an exam and would be late. Then it turned out that it was a bad time for someone else, so they cancelled the meeting.
Today is the last class of the term. I can't cancel it. I just can't.
I think I can. I think I can. I think I can. I think I can. I think I can.
I wish I could send you a bowl of matzoh ball soup...
ReplyDeleteAnother thing about asthma inhalers... If you get stung by a bee, take a puff of your asthma inhaler, and the sting will stop hurting! (I have no idea why...)
ReplyDeleteThat sucks. I hope you're feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteBwwaaahhhaaahaaah!! I promise to only use my super powers for good! I do love the sound of someone saying I made them do something.
ReplyDeleteAlright, the only reason why I know that stuff is because I coughed up a lung for like three weeks and got really sick and learned my lesson the hard way. You got the benefit of my stupid, so there!
Well I'll be damned. Maybe this would explain why my cold has thus far lasted three freaken weeks. Although I must say that I'd rather be coughing up nastyness all day then be unable to breathe... not that my husband would say the same.
